My 29th birthday party.

Hi guys! My name is Samantha and this is Perfectly Samantha: Lifestyle meets Rom-Com.

I started Perfectly Samantha to write about things I love and to post reviews of movies, TV shows, and books in the romantic-comedy genre. I also want to do some freelance writing and editing.

Taken at California Adventure in Disneyland. Everyone else was taking pictures on the other wall and ignoring this awesome backdrop.

Also, after blogging for over ten years on various sites and becoming a super influential influencer who influences people (I can call myself that with 444 followers, right?), I realized something: There are almost no singleton bloggers. Most are married or in a relationship. So, I figure I owe it to my fellow singletons, specifically my fellow female singletons, to tell my story. I hope it’ll inspire them to tell theirs.

Selfie at my most recent grad. After nine years and three credentials, I finally decided to join the workforce.

My story: I’m 29, Canadian, Christian, a proud career admin, and a writer. I’m currently working on my first novel. I’m also hoping to break into the field of talking to my camera about movies and then posting it on YouTube.

Accidentally taking a selfie while trying to take selfie.

I’ve been single for approximately 29 years (I’m thinking about having a Bridget Jones’ style celebration when I hit my 32nd year of being single). I’ve had first dates, some of which resulted from meeting people online, but I haven’t been in a relationship, nor have I ever kissed anyone. So, when I say “I’m single,” I don’t mean what some women mean, which is “I’ve been single since my long term boyfriend and I broke up six months ago.” I mean I’m REALLY single, and after struggling to tell people, I’ve finally realized that it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. I’ve even blogged about it.

I’m a big movie fan, and a big Johnny Depp fan! I was super excited to stand where he stood in Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl.

Speaking of the blog, Perfectly Samantha is divided into lifestyle (personal, style, travel, writing), review (book, creatives, movies & TV), and today. I’m going to try posting according to a schedule because extreme organization is a big part of who I am. I also alphabetize my books and my DVD collection, and I organize my closet by sleeve length and colour.

My goal is to review every DVD I own…except maybe Smallville for obvious reasons.
