Murder on the Orient Express  was really good, but I don’t know if I want to watch it in cinema again. I think I might buy it if it’s in one of those bargain DVD bins at Walmart, but it’s not like Thor: Ragnarok. I don’t want to watch it in the cinema again, and I wouldn’t pay full price for it. The reason is that it’s a murder mystery, and I know the answer. I won’t give it away here. I expect this will be one of my only reviews that doesn’t have any spoilers, because I don’t want to give away the solution to the murder, and I don’t even want to tell you who the victim is, because even the trailers didn’t do that.*

So, what can I say about it? The actors and actresses were good. I couldn’t place Michelle Pfeiffer for a while. I knew she was in that other Johnny Depp movie (I guess she’s the new Helena Boham Carter). Even now, I can’t think of the name. I don’t want to look it about, because I feel like it’s good for your brain to recall information like that on its own. If I think of it before I’m done writing this, I’ll let you know what it is.

Never mind; I gave up and googled it. It was Dark Shadows, which I wouldn’t have figured out.

Anyway, the acting was great. I’m pretty such I’ve seen nearly everyone in another movie. I especially liked the scenes with Kenneth Branagh and Johnny Depp since now they’ve both been in Harry Potter, as Gilderoy Lockhart and – well, I won’t spoiler it. All the characters were interesting, and I think Murder on the Orient Express is the first movie I’ve seen a while that didn’t bore me at some point. Even Thor got a bit slow in parts.

The movie was also surprising. I was completely wrong about the solution to the murder. That’s all I can say about that without giving anything away. I think I might pull a Jeremy Jahns and do a spoiler review since I do want to mention something about the solution, but I don’t want to ruin the movie since, like I said, it’s really only good for one view.

*Speaking of the trailers, there are a lot of good movies coming out. I want to see the one about Winston Churchill, and the one about the guy who invented the circus. It looks really fun. 🙂
