I love travelling, and I love travel blogs! It’s always so fun to see where people have been and where they’re going!
For a while now, I’ve been thinking, “I wish I could do that.” I travel, sometimes, but they’re either family vacations, which I don’t pay for (#studentlife) or simple trips out to Vancouver to visit my sister. I’ve never wanted to narrow my blog to a single niche; I’m a lifestyle blogger, and I’m also a style, beauty, fashion blogger (when I post about that). But do I travel enough to be a travel blogger? I used to think that I didn’t.
However, recently I’ve realized that travel can mean whatever you want it to mean. It can mean going to another continent or another country, or it can mean exploring somewhere new in your hometown. If you check out a new restaurant, you’re travelling. If you meet someone new, you met them while travelling. Travel means whatever you want it to mean, and travel blogging is whatever you want it to be.
So even if you don’t travel outside of your country constantly, you can still be a travel blogger. Remember: To anyone reading your blog who doesn’t live in your city, it’s new for them. So let’s expand the potential of the simple travel blog. If you went somewhere you’ve never been before, or are seeing something again with new eyes, you’re travelling, and I can’t wait to read about your adventures!
